There is really not much to say about
myself (see pictures).
My name is Martine Couture and I am originally from
Québec. I came to live in
Calgary (see pictures) 20 some years ago. I still have a noticeable French
accent and I do not
believe it will ever go away either! I
currently work for the Calgary Board of
Education. All
my blood family members live in Quebec, I only have one brother and both of my parents (meet them) are still
thankfully
alive. I
have very good friends here in Calgary that I call family as well.
My main hobbies are of course the dogs, the dog shows, and nature related
activities.
I don't get too many spare time anymore, however, I recently took on
fishing again and hope I will be able to take advantage to this "time to
myself" to enjoy nature more often from now on.
I really enjoy going for long
walks with the dogs (nothing better to clear a mind).
I have always liked to draw and wish I could spare a little more time into
it....(see some of my stuff)
I like taking computer courses and read about new technology.
I love love to tease people...but I like to be the first one who does it
:-)...I'm fairly sociable but like to keep parts of my life to myself...I ask
many questions, and will tell stuff about myself but however it needs to come
from me because I don't like when people are asking me too many things ( I
didn't say I was perfect).
If I can be of any help to those who need me, I would give my shirt...I love to
give things if I think it will make someone happy.
By nature I am a person who likes peace, although as time goes by I have become a little more
"out-spoken".
I am forever changing my hair color ... I don't even want to risk mentioning my
current
color as it will have changed by the time you read this! Some of my favorite super cool ones included the
red streaks, blue streaks, purple and pink were nice too.
I love heavy metal music and if the dogs are not with me in the van, I will have
it blast pretty loud.
I always think on seriously going on a diet only when I'm full.
I cry for no reasons when I watch perfect strangers leaving their loved
ones at the airport.
I pride myself on being honest and usually everyone knows where they stand with
me pretty quickly.
People who know me well, know I will always forget or loose something at their
place's, and the really long time friends will ask me if i have
"everything" before I leave.
I always always have 15 million things in my mind which causes me to be asking
the weirdest things at the most awkward of times! ..
Some of my pet
peeves or dislikes not particularly in order are :
I could personally throw the keys away for people who hurt animals on purpose.
People who lie to me.
Supermarket clerks throwing my carefully
selected non-bruised fruits at the end of the counter once they have weighed
them.
Motel rooms where there's only enough plugs-ins (1) for the lights and TV
(how am I supposed to dry my show dogs, run the microwave for my breakfast and
dry my hair at the same time?)
People who drive slow in the fast lane.
People who explains things in too great of details.
I don't
like when people are making fun of other people in a mean way.
The one thing I have learned to HATE
are promises...don't make promises to me please.
